Bridge Speakers
|
The bridge now has two speakers, one port and one starboard, both at this level. I am either going to move my ears to my ankles or move the speakers up. We will be installing four PolyPlanar speakers. Two will be directed for people sitting in front of the console and two for those sitting behind the console. A PolyPlanar powered sub-woofer will also be installed. |
There will now be four speakers on the bridge and a sub-woofer. We could not find a better spot for the aft speakers than the one that existed. To compensate, Dave angled up this recessed area so that the sound is no longer pointing at our ankles. |

Angled Up
|
Although we could not find a better spot to put the two aft speakers, we did change the angle so they will at least not face our ankles. |
Pictured here, the two ovals will house the front speakers. Note the air hole in back. We learned from poly-planner that speakers need breathing air to work at optimum levels. |

Sub Spot

This hole, in the side of the console, will house the 10" powered sub-woofer. |
The sub-woofer location will permit bass sound to bounce all over the bridge. |

Poly-Planar Twins

These two, 200 watt, 3-way speakers are mounted in the forward refreshment station. |
Our sound system is complimented by these two speakers mounted just aft of the console. |
